Position Description:
The position is located in the Advanced Engineering & Concept group. The mission of the Advanced Engineering & Concept Team is to secure Volvo Group’s future complete vehicles, transport solutions, or specific modules/systems and their infrastructure by managing the needed Advanced Engineering. We prepare for the future by leading the Advanced Engineering Platform cross-functionality, with a vision-driven, forward thinking mindset. We collaborate with Group experts to analyze the performance of our solutions and push to the limits of physics and technology.

• Develop packaging concepts and evaluate the features for enhancing our products for 2030+.
• Propose solutions for complete offer scenario/packaging to meet application requirements.
• Drive Digital Mock-up (DMU structure) deliveries according to DMU logic
• Take necessary geometrical decisions in packaging studies.

As an Geometrical Architect, you will play a pivotal role to set the architecture of area of responsibility. Deliver prerequisites and balanced (geometry-, weight- or dimensions-) solution with respect to platform, technology development and project requirements. Perform concept studies of complete heavy duty trucks in advanced engineering.

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Competence in Creo
• 10+ years of experience in product development projects within heavy duty commercial vehicle
• Forward thinking, visionary mindset

Base Salary: $90,000 to $105,000 – DOE
